{"id":2911,"date":"2026-01-08T16:48:34","date_gmt":"2026-01-08T21:48:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fondationduchum.com\/?page_id=2911"},"modified":"2026-02-10T16:48:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T21:48:20","slug":"contest-rules-pack-your-bags","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fondationduchum.com\/en\/contest-rules-pack-your-bags\/","title":{"rendered":"Contest rules Pack your bags"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>To facilitate the reading of these Regulations, the masculine gender is used as a neutral gender to refer to both women and men.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Centre\u00a0hospitalier\u00a0de\u00a0l\u2019Universit\u00e9\u00a0de Montr\u00e9al Foundation (the \u201cFoundation\u201d) is organizing\u202ftwenty-four\u00a0(24)\u00a0draws\u00a0of\u00a0twenty-four\u00a0(24)\u00a0travel vouchers\u00a0(\u201cDraws\u201d) worth a total of one hundred and thirty thousand dollars ($130,000).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"block-accordions-group accordion-container aligndefault\">\n  \n<div id=\"1-elegibility\" class=\"accordion ac\">\n  <div class=\"accordion__accordion\">\n    <button class=\"accordion__header-row accordion-toggle ac-header ac-trigger\">\n      <p class=\"accordion__header__title\">        1. Elegibility      <\/p>      <span class=\"accordion__header__icon\" role=\"presentation\">\n        <span class=\"plus\"><\/span>\n      <\/span>\n    <\/button>\n    <div class=\"accordion__sub-rows wysiwyg ac-panel\">\n      \n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1.1. The contest is open to anyone 18 or older residing in Quebec who is eligible for Draws.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.2. Employees of the Centre hospitalier de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al (\u201cCHUM\u201d) are eligible for Draws.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.3.&nbsp;<strong>Excluded<\/strong>: CHUM Foundation employees are not eligible for Draws.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1.3.1. The phrase \u201cCHUM Foundation employees\u201d includes persons 18 and older residing at the same address as an employee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"2-entries\" class=\"accordion ac\">\n  <div class=\"accordion__accordion\">\n    <button class=\"accordion__header-row accordion-toggle ac-header ac-trigger\">\n      <p class=\"accordion__header__title\">        2. Entries      <\/p>      <span class=\"accordion__header__icon\" role=\"presentation\">\n        <span class=\"plus\"><\/span>\n      <\/span>\n    <\/button>\n    <div class=\"accordion__sub-rows wysiwyg ac-panel\">\n      \n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2.1. Tickets (\u201cTickets\u201d) go on sale at 12\u00a0p.m. on\u00a0February\u202f9, 2026, and can be\u00a0purchased\u00a0until 11:59 p.m. on April\u202f5, 2026.\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2.1.1. A presale period for tickets will begin on January\u00a026\u00a0and end on February\u00a08. Any employee of the CHUM or CRCHUM who meets the conditions outlined in these Rules may\u00a0purchase\u00a0one or more tickets during the presale period.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.1.2. Participants who\u00a0purchase\u00a0their ticket(s) during the presale period will have one (1) chance to win a\u00a0travel credit\u00a0valued at five hundred dollars ($500) for each ticket\u00a0purchased, with no purchase limit.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.1.3. On May\u00a06, 2026, this travel credit will be randomly drawn from all entries\u00a0submitted\u00a0during the presale period. Only the winner will be contacted by phone or email. If the individual does not meet the criteria outlined above (2.1.2), they will not be eligible for the presale draw.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.2. Unless otherwise provided for in clause\u202f2.3. of the Contest Rules, one (1) Ticket costs one hundred and\u00a0twentyfive\u00a0dollars ($125), to be paid in full by credit card or cheque (made out to the CHUM Foundation, with\u00a0Pack Your Bags 2026\u00a0written in the memo section).\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2.2.1. Entrants paying by credit card must fill out the purchase form on the Foundation\u2019s website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.3. CHUM employees can pay for Tickets through a payroll deduction of\u00a0twelve\u00a0dollars\u00a0and\u00a0fifty\u00a0cents\u00a0($12.50) per paycheque for\u00a0ten\u00a0(10) consecutive pay periods, from May\u202f14, 2026, to\u00a0September\u00a017, 2026\u00a0(inclusive).\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2.3.1.&nbsp;<strong>Excluded<\/strong>: Clause 2.3 does not apply to CHUM employees who are on call exclusively. They are still subject to clause 2.2, sub-clause 2.2.1 and the rest of the Contest Rules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.4. Entrants\u00a0are responsible at all times\u00a0for providing\u00a0accurate\u00a0personal information in the\u00a0purchase form or their employee file, if applicable. This includes information that would allow the entrant to be notified that they have won.\u00a0The Foundation is not responsible for any mistakes made by entrants\u00a0regarding\u00a0their personal information.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.5. Tickets will be mailed to entrants by May\u202f6, 2026.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.6. One (1) Ticket\u00a0provides\u00a0twenty-four\u00a0(24) entries.\u00a0There is no entry limit.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2.7. Up to three thousand five hundred (3,500) Tickets are available for purchase.\u00a0Each Ticket sold is marked with a number between one (0001) and three thousand five hundred (3,500).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2.8. Purchased Tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded and do not come with a donation receipt.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"3-travel-voucher-amounts\" class=\"accordion ac\">\n  <div class=\"accordion__accordion\">\n    <button class=\"accordion__header-row accordion-toggle ac-header ac-trigger\">\n      <p class=\"accordion__header__title\">        3. Travel voucher amounts      <\/p>      <span class=\"accordion__header__icon\" role=\"presentation\">\n        <span class=\"plus\"><\/span>\n      <\/span>\n    <\/button>\n    <div class=\"accordion__sub-rows wysiwyg ac-panel\">\n      \n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3.1. The\u00a0twenty-four\u00a0(24) Draws worth a total of one hundred and thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) will be divided as follows:\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3.1.1. Twenty-two\u00a0(22) travel vouchers worth\u00a0five\u00a0thousand\u00a0dollars ($5,000) each:\u00a0<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>May\u00a013,\u00a020, and 27, 2026;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>June\u00a03, 10, and 17 and 24\u00a02026;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>July\u00a01<sup>st<\/sup>,\u00a08, 15, 22, and\u00a029, 2026;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>August\u00a05, 12,\u00a019, and 26, 2026;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>September\u00a02, 9, 16,\u00a023\u00a0and\u00a030, 2026;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>October\u00a07, 2026;\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3.1.2. Two\u00a0(2) travel vouchers worth five thousand dollars ($10,000)\u00a0each\u00a0:\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>May\u00a06, 2026;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>October\u00a014, 2026.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"4-draw-dates\" class=\"accordion ac\">\n  <div class=\"accordion__accordion\">\n    <button class=\"accordion__header-row accordion-toggle ac-header ac-trigger\">\n      <p class=\"accordion__header__title\">        4. Draw dates      <\/p>      <span class=\"accordion__header__icon\" role=\"presentation\">\n        <span class=\"plus\"><\/span>\n      <\/span>\n    <\/button>\n    <div class=\"accordion__sub-rows wysiwyg ac-panel\">\n      \n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4.1. Draws will take place at 11:30 a.m. on the following dates:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>May\u202f6, 13, 20\u00a0and\u00a027,\u00a02026\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>June\u202f3, 10, 17\u00a0and\u00a023,\u00a02026\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>July\u202f1<sup>st<\/sup>,\u00a08, 15, 22\u00a0and\u00a029,\u00a02026\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>August\u202f5, 12,\u00a019\u00a0and\u00a026,\u00a02026\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>September\u00a02,\u00a09, 16,\u00a023 and 30,\u00a02026\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>October\u202f7 and\u00a014\u00a02026.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4.2. Draws will take place at the\u00a0Foundation headquarters at 465 McGill Street, Suite 800, Montr\u00e9al, Quebec H2Y 2H1.\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4.2.1. Pursuant to\u00a0section 42 of the\u00a0<em>Lottery Scheme Rules<\/em>, Draws will be done before at least three (3) witnesses and will be recorded.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4.3. On the date of the Draw, a Foundation representative will phone each winner to\u00a0notify them\u00a0of their prize.\u00a0The Foundation will also share the names of winners on its platforms.\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4.3.1. To find out the names of winners, entrants can visit the Foundation\u2019s website at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fondationduchum.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/fondationduchum.com<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4.4. Winning Tickets for each Draw remain eligible for\u00a0subsequent\u00a0Draws.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"5-voucher-claims-and-terms-and-conditions-of-use\" class=\"accordion ac\">\n  <div class=\"accordion__accordion\">\n    <button class=\"accordion__header-row accordion-toggle ac-header ac-trigger\">\n      <p class=\"accordion__header__title\">        5. Voucher claims and terms and conditions of use      <\/p>      <span class=\"accordion__header__icon\" role=\"presentation\">\n        <span class=\"plus\"><\/span>\n      <\/span>\n    <\/button>\n    <div class=\"accordion__sub-rows wysiwyg ac-panel\">\n      \n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5.1. Once a winner has been notified by phone, they will receive an email with a letter of attestation from the Foundation confirming the value of their travel voucher.\u00a0This letter of attestation allows the winner to claim their travel voucher from the organization and travel provider:\u00a0<br><br><strong>AGENCE CO DIVISION DE GESTION PS TOURS INC.<\/strong>\u00a0<br>5005 \u2013 1, Jarry East\u00a0<br>Montreal (Quebec) H1R 1Y1\u00a0<br>514 935 5494 \u2502\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.agenceco.ca\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.agenceco.ca\/en<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.2. The travel voucher is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of the Draw.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5.2.1. After the twelve months have elapsed, any attempt to claim the prize will be null and void. At this point, the winner waives their right to the travel voucher, which will be cancelled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.3. The travel voucher can be spent in its entirety on a package (air and ground transport, including hotel reservation and car rental) or on a flight alone.\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5.3.1. The travel voucher can be used for\u00a0<strong>up to<\/strong>\u00a0three (3) transactions in a single trip (for example, plane tickets, hotel\u00a0reservations\u00a0and car rental).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.3.2. No refunds will be issued to make up the difference between the cost of a trip and the value of a travel voucher.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.3.3. There are no restrictions on when a travel voucher can be used, including the holidays and spring break.\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.4. The winner must respect the specific terms and conditions of the\u00a0travel agency\u00a0regarding\u00a0the use of travel vouchers.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.5. The winner\u00a0is responsible for\u00a0paying for insurance,\u00a0passports\u00a0and any other travel-related expenditures.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.6. In lieu of the travel voucher, the winner may claim from\u00a0the travel agency\u00a0an amount in cash equal to eighty percent (80%) of the travel voucher\u2019s value.\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5.6.1. Winners will have to wait four (4) to six (6) weeks to receive their prize in cash.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.7. Once the travel agency has been informed of the winner\u2019s choice of prize, the decision is final and cannot be changed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.8. Subject to the terms and conditions of these Contest Rules, the winner may transfer the entirety of the travel voucher or cash amount equivalent to eighty percent (80%) to another person.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5.8.1. The winner must certify this transfer in a signed letter and send it to the Foundation. There will be a wait time to process the transfer request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5.8.2. Prize transfers are also subject to the terms and conditions of and at the discretion of the travel agency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"6-personal-information\" class=\"accordion ac\">\n  <div class=\"accordion__accordion\">\n    <button class=\"accordion__header-row accordion-toggle ac-header ac-trigger\">\n      <p class=\"accordion__header__title\">        6. Personal information      <\/p>      <span class=\"accordion__header__icon\" role=\"presentation\">\n        <span class=\"plus\"><\/span>\n      <\/span>\n    <\/button>\n    <div class=\"accordion__sub-rows wysiwyg ac-panel\">\n      \n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6.1. By entering the Draw, the winner authorizes the Foundation and its representatives to print, publish or use their name or image for any purposes related to the organization and its activities, including, but not limited to, publicity and promotional purposes, without financial compensation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"7-general-terms-and-conditions\" class=\"accordion ac\">\n  <div class=\"accordion__accordion\">\n    <button class=\"accordion__header-row accordion-toggle ac-header ac-trigger\">\n      <p class=\"accordion__header__title\">        7. General terms and conditions      <\/p>      <span class=\"accordion__header__icon\" role=\"presentation\">\n        <span class=\"plus\"><\/span>\n      <\/span>\n    <\/button>\n    <div class=\"accordion__sub-rows wysiwyg ac-panel\">\n      \n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>7.1. Verification<\/strong>. Documents enabling entrants to\u00a0enter into\u00a0Draws are subject to verification by the CHUM Foundation\u2019s representatives.\u00a0Any document that is incomplete, garbled, fraudulent, registered or\u00a0submitted\u00a0late,\u00a0containing\u00a0an invalid mailing address or phone number, or otherwise non-compliant, will be rejected and could disqualify the entrant from registration or a travel voucher, depending on the circumstances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7.2. Changes to the Draw.<\/strong>\u00a0The CHUM Foundation reserves the right, at its discretion, to alter, cancel or suspend the Draw, or to\u00a0terminate\u00a0it fully or partially if causes or circumstances outside of its control could potentially hinder the administration, security,\u00a0impartiality\u00a0or normal course of the Draw.\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7.3. Communication with entrants.<\/strong>\u00a0Entrants will not receive any communications or messages\u00a0regarding\u00a0the Draws, unless specified in the Contest Rules or at the initiative of the CHUM Foundation.\u202f\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7.4. CHUM employees.\u00a0<\/strong>In the event of\u00a0end of employment, sick leave,\u00a0maternity leave\u00a0or unpaid leave, the payroll service will ensure that the unpaid balance is withdrawn in\u00a0full from\u00a0the Ticket holder\u2019s\u00a0last paycheque.\u00a0If the payroll service is unable to withdraw the unpaid balance, the\u00a0Ticket holder\u00a0is responsible for\u00a0paying it by credit card or by a cheque made out to the CHUM Foundation.\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>7.4.1. If the amount cannot be recovered within three (3) months of the Draws\u2019 conclusion, the Foundation reserves the right to cancel the entry and, if necessary, the winning Tickets of any CHUM employee in one of the\u00a0aforementioned situations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7.5. Disclaimer<\/strong>. The Foundation is not liable for any loss or damages\u00a0in the event of\u00a0bankruptcy,\u00a0insolvency\u00a0or any other reason it becomes impossible for the travel agency to provide services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7.6. Dispute<\/strong>.
