On March 28, the CHUM Foundation\u2019s incredibly popular Grand Banquet de l\u2019extraordinaire was back for the third time. This staple of Montr\u00e9al\u2019s charity calendar helped raise $1.4 million that will give the CHUM\u2019s teams the resources they need to revolutionize healthcare by taking giant strides in learning and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Grand Banquet is such a special event that really brings everyone together, and it\u2019s also incredibly important for fundraising. Together, everyone from our dedicated community who made it out to this event raised over $1.4 million to help our world-class hospital turn its teams\u2019 innovative dreams into reality. Their combined efforts will light a spark of discovery, progress and treatment that will directly impact the lives of patients from all over Quebec.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spotlight on the CHUM\u2019s excellence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Gifts like the Bourse de l\u2019extraordinaire play a huge role in helping the department\u2019s young physicians hone their skills and explore the latest breakthroughs in their field. It\u2019s an important contribution to Quebec\u2019s ever-improving care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 465 guests attended the Banquet, hosted by the brilliant Virginie Coossa in the glamorous Windsor Station. The incredible lighting and spell-binding ambiance conjured up images of the ocean floor and the mysteries of the human body, while the theme of Spotlight celebrated the vital work done by the radiology and nuclear medicine department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, Engel & V\u00f6lkers was proud to present the department\u2019s teams with the biggest Bourse de l\u2019extraordinaire in Banquet history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An evening of incredible experiences to benefit the CHUM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There were some incredible moments at this Banquet, including an unforgettable musical performance by Gregory Charles, a dramatic live auction and some touching testimonials that eloquently spoke to just how important this cause is. The highlight, however, was without a doubt the exceptional menu put together by five renowned chefs\u2014a testament to their passion and sense of refinement, as well as Quebec\u2019s culinary talent and expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening\u2019s co-chairs, Nadine Renaud-Tinker, President of RBC\u2019s Quebec Headquarters, and Kheng Ly, President and CEO of Groupe Brivia, really showcased our community\u2019s amazing commitment. Their incredible leadership and ability to engage their professional networks were key factors in making this health-focused event such a success. Their ongoing support and unwavering commitment to empowering the CHUM to act faster than disease were vital to building valuable connections and partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
