Cyclists pushed their limits in the CRCHUM<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s Courtois Agora on June 5 and 6, 2025. For 24 hours straight, CRCHUM Challenge<\/strong> participants put their pedals to the metal, united by their shared goal to fundraise for health research<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a fun new twist, the 15th edition of the CRCHUM Challenge<\/strong> invited friends and family to join the movement and opened up the event to the greater CRCHUM, CHUM and CHUM Foundation communities<\/strong>, making for an even more unifying and inspiring challenge!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A remarkable movement to advance research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Twelve teams of participants took turns on stationary bikes, covering a combined 9,117 kilometres. Talk about a truly community-driven effort, powered by the energy, solidarity and determination of each and every participant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the hard work of these participants and the generosity of their loved ones, the challenge raised $30,250 to break new ground in research. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CHUM Foundation<\/strong> entered a team in the challenge. Our team of 12 employees<\/strong> collectively cycled nearly 1,000 kilometres<\/strong> and raised $9,315<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis bike-a-thon was a new and very tangible way for us at the Foundation to channel the dedication that inspires our daily work. Pedalling side by side, cheering on our colleagues, pushing our limits as a team: every minute in the saddle reminded us why we do this job.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pedalling faster than disease<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe wanted the CRCHUM Challenge 24-hour bike-a-thon to bring the CHUM, the CHUM Foundation and the CRCHUM together in pursuit of a shared goal: to fundraise for health research. This community event is proof positive of our belief that, when we all pedal in the same direction, we can make a real difference for a healthier Quebec.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
