The CHUM Foundation is honoured to announce that Jessica Pathy and Mark Pathy have pledged $1 million to support their shared vision of helping Montr\u00e9al\u2019s major philanthropic institutions build a better life for the community. J<\/p>\n\n\n\n

essica Pathy and Mark Pathy\u2019s generous contribution will be a driving force behind the innovative and transformative projects made possible by our major campaign, Act Faster Than Disease<\/a><\/strong>. Their gift will support CHUM specialists as they explore new care pathways that are more personalized and less invasive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Pathy<\/strong> is a passionate entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. Alongside his role as CEO and Chairman of MAVRIK CORP., he is also known for his unique space expedition and contributions to a number of philanthropic organizations as a board member and generous donor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jessica Pathy<\/strong>, a chartered accountant, is an active philanthropic leader. She is the Chair of the Marie-Vincent Foundation, and plays key roles within WWF Canada, PLUS1 and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driving the bold ideas of the CHUM\u2019s teams<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Among the major campaign\u2019s signature projects, one of the most promising is the integration of the MRI-Linac, an ultra-high-accuracy imaging tool that harnesses artificial intelligence to deliver more precise, more effective and less harmful radiation therapy for patients with treatment-resistant cancers. Research is being led by the radio-oncology centre to integrate this high-tech device into the care process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CHUM is just the second Quebec hospital to get an MRI-Linac, which will be used to treat a patient for the first time on May 25, 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
