The Centre for Excellence in Healthcare Simulation and Learning is moving the needle forward by uniting the CHUM’s many and varied talents around a single goal: to reshape healthcare by paving the way for the most promising and effective teaching approaches.

“Care teams work in specialized environments that are constantly changing. Their training and knowledge-sharing needs are becoming more and more complex. As traditional models become obsolete, our goal is to find solutions that help customize and optimize learning pathways. And, for that, we need your support.”
— Nathalie Beaulieu, Director of Education and the CHUM Academy

Powered by your generous donations, the Centre fosters best practices and drives innovation through a range of training products and services for practitioner-teachers at the CHUM, research and development initiatives, and knowledge dissemination. Its team has plans for, among other things, a new experimental laboratory on educational technology that can test breakthroughs in virtual reality and AI-powered chatbots. The creation of a virtual environment will let learners—in the near future—train online, access recommended materials and track their progress in real time.
