On September 29, The Gratitude Movement gathered donors and staff for a networking event at the Courtois Agora of the CHUM Research Centre. Presented by MD Financial Management, this second edition was filled with smiles, heartfelt emotions and moving stories.
For one evening, donors, distinguished staff members and the CHUM Foundation team came together to celebrate the heart of the program: recognizing the people whose expertise, compassion and dedication impacted the care journeys of patients and their loved ones.
Behind every donation made through The Gratitude Movement, there is a story of how compassion, attentive listening, support or comfort made a difference when it mattered most.

Bringing people together through gratitude
Throughout the evening, conversations and reunions highlighted the power of a simple “thank you”. For many of the staff members in attendance, it was a special moment to meet the people who had chosen to honour them. For donors, it was a chance to see firsthand the impact of their generosity and how deeply their appreciation is valued.
These shared moments perfectly capture the spirit of The Gratitude Movement: building meaningful human connections between those who receive care and those who provide it, while rallying the community together around a common cause—health.
A growing wave of gratitude
Presented by the Joseph Neufeld Family Foundation, The Gratitude Movement’s official partner, this program has continued to gain remarkable momentum since its launch. To date, more than 2,000 donations have been made in honour of CHUM staff members, raising a total of more than $305,000.
These vital donations will help support the care, research and teaching methods that are transforming the medicine of today and tomorrow.
