$577,170 raised by the CHUM Foundation’s Summer Golf and Cycling Classic
Yesterday, the prestigious Le Mirage Golf Club in Terrebonne played host to the very first edition of the CHUM Foundation’s Summer Golf and Cycling Classic. At this truly unique event, members of the business, healthcare and sports worlds gathered for the day to gave back to their community.
The event was presented by our renowned partner MONTONI and had an incredible turnout of over 200 golfers and several dozen cyclists, who helped raise an impressive $577,170. These funds will empower the CHUM and its teams to act faster than disease.
Where sports meets philanthropy
“We’re honoured to present this one-of-a-kind event bringing together sports and philanthropy,” said Franca Riso, vice president of Montoni Group. “The CHUM’s medical teams go above and beyond providing Quebecers with exceptional healthcare. We wanted to partner with them on this event to support all the work they do and help guarantee access to top-tier care for all.”
Pascale Bouchard, president and chief executive officer of the CHUM Foundation, also shared her appreciation for all of the participants:

A new way for cyclists to give back
This year introduced a new cycling event. Bike enthusiasts got the opportunity to contribute to the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, while growing their professional network.
Inspirational stories
One of the highlights of the day was CHUM patient Maryse Choquette-Paré’s touching story about how the CHUM helped her survive an ischemic stroke by performing a thrombectomy.
“The CHUM took better care of me than I’ve ever experienced—it was absolutely incredible!” Maryse talked all about how important continued donor support is for providing innovative, life-saving care.
