In Lyne Hart’s family, generosity is in their blood. That’s why she decided to include a gift to the CHUM Foundation in her will, in recognition of the exceptional care she received at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal.
“Like my brother and my daughter, generosity is a daily practice. It has always been a priority for me—ever since I was a little girl, rolling coins to give to those in need.”
A feeling of safety from day one
Lyne knew it the moment she arrived at the hospital: she was in good hands.
Following treatment at the CHUM for severe back problems following a bad fall, Lyne was deeply appreciative of the team who operated on and cared for her.
“I was truly taken care of as if I were in a five-star hotel. The attentiveness of the staff, their constant kindness, and the excellence of the care I received made it an easy choice—I had to recognize the exceptional people who gave me back the joy of moving and living fully.”
For Lyne, the decision was clear: she wanted to express her gratitude and ensure others could benefit as well. Driven by this desire, she updated her will to include the CHUM Foundation as a beneficiary—something she found simple and easy to do.

Today, Lyne is enjoying life with her loved ones and looking to the future with optimism—not only for herself, but for those who will follow as well.
