CONTEST RULES The 2026 “Pack Your Bags” Raffle in Support of the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal Foundation

The Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal Foundation (the “Foundation”) is organizing twenty-four (24) draws of twenty-four (24) travel vouchers (“Draws”) worth a total of one hundred and thirty thousand dollars ($130,000).

 

  1. ELIGIBILITY
    • The contest is open to anyone 18 or older residing in Quebec who is eligible for Draws.
  • Employees of the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (“CHUM”) are eligible for Draws.
  • Excluded: CHUM Foundation employees are not eligible for Draws. 
    • The phrase “CHUM Foundation employees” includes persons 18 and older residing at the same address as an employee. 

 

  1. ENTRIES
    • Tickets (“Tickets”) go on sale at 12 p.m. on February 9, 2026, and can be purchased until 11:59 p.m. on April 5, 2026.
      • A presale period for tickets will begin on January 26 and end on February 8. Any employee of the CHUM or CRCHUM who meets the conditions outlined in these Rules may purchase one or more tickets during the presale period.
      • Participants who purchase their ticket(s) during the presale period will have one (1) chance to win a travel credit valued at five hundred dollars ($500) for each ticket purchased, with no purchase limit.
      • On May 6, 2026, this travel credit will be randomly drawn from all entries submitted during the presale period. Only the winner will be contacted by phone or email. If the individual does not meet the criteria outlined above (2.1.2), they will not be eligible for the presale draw.
  • Unless otherwise provided for in clause 2.3. of the Contest Rules, one (1) Ticket costs one hundred and twenty‑five dollars ($125), to be paid in full by credit card or cheque (made out to the CHUM Foundation, with Pack Your Bags 2026 written in the memo section).
    • Entrants paying by credit card must fill out the purchase form on the Foundation’s website. 
  • CHUM employees can pay for Tickets through a payroll deduction of twelve dollars and fifty cents ($12.50) per paycheque for ten (10) consecutive pay periods, from May 14, 2026, to September 17, 2026 (inclusive).
    • Excluded: Clause 2.3 does not apply to CHUM employees who are on call exclusively. They are still subject to clause 2.2, sub-clause 2.2.1 and the rest of the Contest Rules.
  • Entrants are responsible at all times for providing accurate personal information in the purchase form or their employee file, if applicable. This includes information that would allow the entrant to be notified that they have won. The Foundation is not responsible for any mistakes made by entrants regarding their personal information.
  • Tickets will be mailed to entrants by May 6, 2026.
  • One (1) Ticket provides twenty-four (24) entries. There is no entry limit.
  • Up to three thousand five hundred (3,500) Tickets are available for purchase. Each Ticket sold is marked with a number between one (0001) and three thousand five hundred (3,500).
  • Purchased Tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded and do not come with a donation receipt.

 

  1. TRAVEL VOUCHER AMOUNTS
  • The twenty-four (24) Draws worth a total of one hundred and thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) will be divided as follows:

    • Twenty-two (22) travel vouchers worth five thousand dollars ($5,000) each:
  • May 13, 20, and 27, 2026;
  • June 3, 10, and 17 and 24 2026;
  • July 1st, 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2026;
  • August 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2026;
  • September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2026;
  • October 7, 2026;
    • Two (2) travel vouchers worth five thousand dollars ($10,000) each :
  • May 6, 2026;
  • October 14, 2026.

 

  1. DRAW DATES
    • Draws will take place at 11:30 a.m. on the following dates:
  • May 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2026
  • June 3, 10, 17 and 23, 2026
  • July 1st, 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2026
  • August 5, 12, 19 and 26, 2026
  • September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2026
  • October 7 and 14 2026.
    • Draws will take place at the Foundation headquarters at 465 McGill Street, Suite 800, Montréal, Quebec H2Y 2H1.
      • Pursuant to section 42 of the Lottery Scheme Rules, Draws will be done before at least three (3) witnesses and will be recorded.
  • On the date of the Draw, a Foundation representative will phone each winner to notify them of their prize. The Foundation will also share the names of winners on its platforms.
  • Winning Tickets for each Draw remain eligible for subsequent Draws.

 

  1. VOUCHER CLAIMS AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
    • Once a winner has been notified by phone, they will receive an email with a letter of attestation from the Foundation confirming the value of their travel voucher. This letter of attestation allows the winner to claim their travel voucher from the organization and travel provider:

  • The travel voucher is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of the Draw.
    • After the twelve months have elapsed, any attempt to claim the prize will be null and void. At this point, the winner waives their right to the travel voucher, which will be cancelled.
  • The travel voucher can be spent in its entirety on a package (air and ground transport, including hotel reservation and car rental) or on a flight alone.
    • The travel voucher can be used for up to three (3) transactions in a single trip (for example, plane tickets, hotel reservations and car rental).
    • No refunds will be issued to make up the difference between the cost of a trip and the value of a travel voucher.
    • There are no restrictions on when a travel voucher can be used, including the holidays and spring break.
  • The winner must respect the specific terms and conditions of the travel agency regarding the use of travel vouchers.
  • The winner is responsible for paying for insurance, passports and any other travel-related expenditures.
  • In lieu of the travel voucher, the winner may claim from the travel agency an amount in cash equal to eighty percent (80%) of the travel voucher’s value.
    • Winners will have to wait four (4) to six (6) weeks to receive their prize in cash.
  • Once the travel agency has been informed of the winner’s choice of prize, the decision is final and cannot be changed.
  • Subject to the terms and conditions of these Contest Rules, the winner may transfer the entirety of the travel voucher or cash amount equivalent to eighty percent (80%) to another person.
    • The winner must certify this transfer in a signed letter and send it to the Foundation. There will be a wait time to process the transfer request.
    • Prize transfers are also subject to the terms and conditions of and at the discretion of the travel agency.

 

  1. PERSONAL INFORMATION
    • By entering the Draw, the winner authorizes the Foundation and its representatives to print, publish or use their name or image for any purposes related to the organization and its activities, including, but not limited to, publicity and promotional purposes, without financial compensation.

 

  1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • Verification. Documents enabling entrants to enter into Draws are subject to verification by the CHUM Foundation’s representatives. Any document that is incomplete, garbled, fraudulent, registered or submitted late, containing an invalid mailing address or phone number, or otherwise non-compliant, will be rejected and could disqualify the entrant from registration or a travel voucher, depending on the circumstances.
  • Changes to the Draw. The CHUM Foundation reserves the right, at its discretion, to alter, cancel or suspend the Draw, or to terminate it fully or partially if causes or circumstances outside of its control could potentially hinder the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Draw. 
  • Communication with entrants. Entrants will not receive any communications or messages regarding the Draws, unless specified in the Contest Rules or at the initiative of the CHUM Foundation. 
  • CHUM employees. In the event of end of employment, sick leave, maternity leave or unpaid leave, the payroll service will ensure that the unpaid balance is withdrawn in full from the Ticket holder’s last paycheque. If the payroll service is unable to withdraw the unpaid balance, the Ticket holder is responsible for paying it by credit card or by a cheque made out to the CHUM Foundation.
    • If the amount cannot be recovered within three (3) months of the Draws’ conclusion, the Foundation reserves the right to cancel the entry and, if necessary, the winning Tickets of any CHUM employee in one of the aforementioned situations.
  • Disclaimer. The Foundation is not liable for any loss or damages in the event of bankruptcy, insolvency or any other reason it becomes impossible for the travel agency to provide services.
  • Dispute. Disputes regarding the organization, conduct or awarding of the travel vouchers should be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for settlement, as the Régie has exclusive jurisdiction in this regard.
