D’art et d’espoir 2025 – An arts event in support of the fight against digestive cancer

After a hugely successful turnout in 2024, the D’art et d’espoir concert-exhibit is back for a fourth edition on Sunday, October 5, 2025. This one-of-a-kind event showcases artistic talent for a good cause: advancing digestive cancer prevention and fostering hope for patients.

Dr. Frank Schwenter, a digestive surgery specialist at the CHUM, invites you to an evening of music and art, where Dr. Schwenter himself will perform celebrated works by Beethoven, Prokofiev and Mendelssohn on the cello with pianist Claire Ouellet, and cartoonist and former patient Robert Marcel Lepage will be exhibiting works inspired by
his journey with colorectal cancer.

In attending this event, you can change patients’ lives by helping the CHUM act faster than disease. We hope to see you all there!

Different ticket types starting at $30.

Tickets will be available at the door.

An official donation receipt will be issued for a portion of the cost.

Program for the evening

“What inspires us to bring this event back year after year is witnessing how patients and members of the public engage with each other’s experiences and emotions surrounding digestive cancer. The moments of connection that emerge from these events are priceless.”

Dr Frank Schwenter

Physician specializing in digestive surgery at the CHUM, event organizer

If you are unable to attend the concert-exhibition, but would like support the cause, why not...
