SARPEP: Intervening when a first psychotic episode occurs
Nearly 3% of the Canadian population will experience a psychotic disorder. These episodes begin to present between 15-35 years of age, exactly when many are just starting to build their future. Although several clinics in Quebec offer specialized care, the quality of that care varies widely.
Use the SARPEP learning system to measure the quality of care, as well as the patient and family experiences, provided by these clinics. By cross-referencing the data, SARPEP then provides each clinic with continuous, automated feedback to help them optimize their practices.
Your contribution enables new clinics to join the SARPEP network (currently 20 out of 33). Ultimately, this will help all youth experiencing a first psychotic episode to quickly get the best possible care.
