$15,000 Raised During the Défi STAT by the Leaders of Tomorrow Committee
The Lachine Canal was the place to be on Tuesday evening for the second ever Défi STAT.
Participants braved the sweltering heat to get their sweat on for a good cause: some ran a six‑kilometre race, and some took a yoga course.
The event was organized by the CHUM Foundation’s Leaders of Tomorrow Committee. Thanks to three weeks of collective effort, the Committee raised over $15,000 to provide a complementary source of funding for the CHUM and the thousands of patients it treats each day.
This initiative also promoted the role of a healthy lifestyle in preventing illness to many young Quebec professionals.
“The Leaders of Tomorrow Committee is very proud to have been able to bring the Défi STAT to life for a second year! For us, the involvement of participants and donors shows that young philanthropists are aware of the impact they can have. We're grateful to be able to count on them to support the cause. It gives meaning to the work we do and inspires us to do even more to support CHUM patients.”
