Martin Lafleur is an entrepreneur, businessperson and ambassador of the Fund set up by and named after his father in 2021. He is deeply committed to his values, and has a keen people-focused approach to relationships in everything he does, be it personal or professional.
Over the years, Martin has worked in management and commercial development positions in the restaurant and technology sectors, honing his skills in sales, strategic planning and negotiation.
Martin has seen first-hand the undeniable need to invest in cancer research. With the CHUM Foundation’s Guy Lafleur Fund, he wants to make a difference in the lives of other families affected by cancer.
“Hockey fans lost a legendary player, but I lost my dad, and my daughter lost her grandpa. Cancer had a devastating impact on my family, just like many other families across Quebec. That’s why it’s only natural for me to carry the torch in honour of my father and continue this work that was so important to him. ”
