On March 16, the iconic Cabane du Coureur became the host site for the CHUM’s “Sugar shack for epilepsy” benefit. This beloved annual tradition, back for the eighth year in a row, gathered more than 180 guests for an evening of good food and merriment in support of the CHUM Epilepsy Group’s work.
A sizable sum for the CHUM
The attendees happily gathered with friends and family to enjoy a delicious twist on Quebec’s classic springtime experience. Generous portions were matched by generous contributions, enabling organizers to raise the hefty sum of over $62,000 for patients with epilepsy.
“The funds raised through the Sugar shack for epilepsy will help us treat people with epilepsy using the latest advances in knowledge and technology. We’re incredibly lucky to have been able to count on such a compassionate community for the past eight years. Their continued support gives us the power to make a real difference in the lives of people with epilepsy,”
says Dr. Nguyen, speaking on behalf of the entire CHUM Epilepsy Group team.
Thanks to our valued partners!
The CHUM Foundation would like to thank the CHUM Epilepsy Group, as well as the attendees, donors and partners who were vital in making this event a success. Thank you for empowering the CHUM’s teams to act faster than neurological disease.
