The CHUM’s Hematologic Oncology Unit is a real driving force in oncology innovation and research. Its exceptional clinicians and researchers have been behind major breakthroughs, including studying the microbiome and playing a key role in immunotherapy. This work has revolutionized cancer patient care and positioned the CHUM as a global leader in the field.
The Hematologic Oncology Unit has made direct contributions to the development of precision medicine by pioneering clinical trials and instituting close collaboration between basic research and clinical care. Its tireless teams are making major improvements to treatments, offering personalized care and bringing hope to thousands of patients every year.

Samuel Sirois is an accomplished chef and world-class competitor who represented Canada at the prestigious global finals of the 2023 Bocuse d’Or in Lyon. Chef Sirois, who featured in the documentary series L’effet Bocuse d’Or and the film Tous toqués!, cares deeply about ingredients and is always seeking perfection.
In addition to his numerous other projects, Chef Sirois spends his time teaching his passion at the ITHQ, where he shares his expertise and love of cooking with the next generation of chefs. His vision of conscientious, innovative fine dining has made him a towering figure in the culinary world.
Chef Sirois will be working closely Chef Marc-André Jetté of the restaurant Hoogan et Beaufort to help make this special event an evening you won’t soon forget.
Your contribution has a real impact on the lives of thousands of CHUM patients, as well as everyone in Quebec. The last Grand Banquet paying tribute to the radiology and nuclear medicine department raised $1.4 million.
