The Fondation du CHUM’s 19th Gourmet Dinner raised $500,000 to offer the best in healthcare to all Quebeckers!
Montréal, June 7, 2017 — The Fondation du CHUM’s 19th annual Gourmet Dinner on June 6 celebrated Québec’s medical—and culinary—excellence! It raised a net $500,000 to the great benefit of patients. This dinner once again underscored the generosity of our loyal partners who are making CHUM a world-renowned institution.
Québec’s expertise beyond our borders
This hugely successful event, hosted by Virginie Coossa, was a source of great pride to those present. This year’s edition showcased the remarkable expertise of Québec’s winemakers, who distribute exceptional vintages around the world. This gastronomical journey included a five-course meal featuring the internationally acclaimed cuisine of Chef Laurent Godbout.
With wit and humour, Claude Meunier reiterated his strong commitment to CHUM as the foundation’s volunteer spokesperson. Guests also saw recent pictures of our new hospital complex, with its state-of-the-art, well-illuminated therapeutic environmental. These ultramodern facilities will enable CHUM and its staff to remain an international standard-setter in treatment, teaching and research,” noted Dr. Fabrice Brunet, President and Chief Executive Officer of CHUM and CHU Sainte-Justine.
“With the new CHUM’s opening, this 19th Gourmet Dinner marks a turning point for our hospital centre. Now, more than ever before, support from an engaged public is crucial. I would like to express my gratitude to our donors and the business community, which have made this event such a great success!”—Daniel Johnson, Chairman of the Cabinet for the major campaign, Giving Ourselves the Best in Healthcare.
